Hey guys. I’ve been helping my buddy work on his tundra. He had a leaking rack and had to replace it. His dad installed a new rack, all new hoses and a new pump. I’m not sure if he bled the system but the truck never had power steering after the change out. Fast forward to 2 years later and sure enough the truck doesn’t have power steering.

We replaced the pump with a new one from parts geek. Bled the system and still no power steering.

I’m starting to loose my mind. I’ve tried to crack the banjo bolt on the top of the pump while it’s running but fluid is just seeping out.

Is the pump bad? Is the banjo bolt clogged up? What am I missing? I can’t connect a power steering gauge on this thing because of this stupid banjo bolt. How do I test the pump? Where do I look?

When I swapped out the pump all the fluid drained out of the resivour so I’m guessing that’s not clogged up.

    Anyone got any suggestions?
