    Im getting old......
I agree i will add more stuff and it weighs more. But im thinking it will add 100lbs compared to what I normally weigh last time we went. 100 extra frim cap over rack and ill make a low pro aluminum rack on it.

Two different setups, his was fiberglass- heavier, mines aluminum. And no rooftop tent for me ever. Oh and i have a steel bed.......

Got my skinnies today and all the rubbing is gone. So glad there's no more rubbing, I was starting to hate having to go up driveways of any sort. The other day I turned left into a parking lot and the lady waiting to exit the lot heard the rub, you guys should have seen her face. Scared the shit out of her.

Now what else can I spend money on?

Ya I thought if your moving the wheel further out, then less chance of hitting the body mount, but more of a chance hitting the inner fender

Nope moving out hits body mount, avoids hitting suspension though.

    This was mine before cut

    And after
    20180401_145536.jpg

The further out you go the more likely it is because it's the outer edge of the tire that hits when you turn.

de-badged, tint front windows, led interior lights, door sill protectors, led b/up lights, 5" factory step rails, yellow turn signal bulbs, added 4 D ring tie downs. Took off the black vinyl stripes between the doors. Changed the grill - from Custom Car Grills, Finally got a tonneau cover put on. 31" light bar ( white & amber ), tailgate light bar, sunvisor covers ( to hide warning labels ), new bedside decals - still too cold to put them on tho. Flag decals to go on too, again too cold still. Got a 2 switch, switch plate to replace that useless cubby hole to the left of the steering wheel.. still to be installed ( hopefully this weekend ). Upgraded the tires to G/Y Duratracs... loving them, no plowing the driveway !!
@Ilamasmurf .. be safe bad weather in your neck of the woods

I see. So if stock is a +30 offset. I’d be looking for like 15 ish? Some space for the wider tire?

    Think it's more around +25mm

I don't get how many times people need to say this but you need to understand the usual problem is once you get too tall and wide of a tire you have to move further out to not hit suspension components. Which usually makes you hit body mount

You keep asking what will work as what won't but you don't want to listen and stay in a 17" wheel and run a 265 70 17.

Anything else there is no promise you will not rub and there is so much inconsistency with these trucks that's why you have people tell you they run 275s no rub and others say rub.

@Theicemedic has a 2.5-3" lift and runs a 285 75 16 on OEM wheels with no body mount rub other than full lock with flex
Meanwhile look how much I rubbed with the exact same lift

I don't know how much clearer anyone could be as this point. If you want to take your chances go for it. But you keep asking will this or that work the answer is no one knows for sure because some it does some it doesn't. You've been told what will guarantee work. You've been asking this for months now and the answers will still be the same. Either get a 17 and 265 70 17 or buy whatever the fuck you want and either get lucky, cut whatever the fuck is in the way out, or cut the losses and give the tires to your dad like you said and then finally get the 265 70 17.

I'm sorry I don't mean to be an asshole but you continue to ask the same thing like an 8 year old asking his mom to have candy for dinner like the answers going to change. There's so much info on here and everyone keeps telling you the same thing.

I've even offered for you to get your lift them try mine at 285 70 17 on 17x9 wheel 0mm 4.5" back spacing.

Just pull the trigger already, you'll either get lucky or it won't work.

I can guarantee you though that anything bigger than 265 70 17 you will at least need to cut a decent amount of plastic.

    Lol.

All in all @Canadianguy91 it is a bit of risk going a bigger size. Best thing to do is see what people are running and make a decision.

I ran 255’s with no issue I had a 3” loft and what not. Some not so much. There is a lot of variables.

Worst case go with what you want and fix the issues if they come up.
