I couldn't find any threads asking directly what I'm looking for, but sorry if this has been answered before.

Has anyone ever put in a non-toyota, but OEM (non aftermarket) head unit in their Tacoma? Specifically I can't stand entune and the one thing I liked about my Nissan was my Nissan Connect head unit. Not worried about losing tacoma feature options (I have techstream), but would it still function as long as it's powered, hooked up to speakers, and attached to antennas?

Anything is possible with enough money and effort.....

If you were to attempt this, expect to spend a lot of money. And you'll probably have a hard time getting your steering wheel controls to work.

A Kenwood Excelon Headunit and a iDatalink Maestro RR is the way to go.
