That was the route I was going to go originally but due to work and family stuff I’m gonna need to maintain my bed space. I was seriously considering buying the whole deal from that thread but after talking to my dad and our chassis guy I kind got turned onto the idea of making it with their help.

Deadline is 30th at midnight for a form that can be submitted online. I sent them some wrong paperwork in mail and they responded to me within 2 days so it was not 2 weeks for them to check.

Memorize this line: "Yes (your honor, sheriff, councel), this firearm was in compliance before the 7/1/2018 deadline. As a law abiding, God fearing citizen of these United States I made sure it was all done before that date. I am horrible with receipts, but your visual inspection should confirm that the engraving was completed well before the deadline." After this sentence the 5th amendment is your friend.

I was surprised to hear from them so soon. They confirmed I would be fine because it's a form on the internet. I was all worried I wouldn't have time to send it thru mail.

I'm probably not coming to MJT due to not having rock sliders. I was planning on doing a mid week night run somewhere if anyone wants to go, Im taking time off next week.

Wed night (4th of July) I was planning on hitting up Drinkwater Flats to watch fire works from the top of Deer Peak (should be able to see both Six Flags and the Valencia Mall's fireworks shows from there). If you're up for it let me know, or anyone for that matter. 4x4 trail for sure (some steep, loose climbs) but you don't need sliders for this one.

Both @alex.busta and @stvstoy did the same thing to their stock bumpers in the same spot a year or two ago; @oni06 did too but he had his Pelfrybilt high clearance bumper on when it happened so it wasn't as dramatic, lol.

Yeah we were expecting it to be worse from the sound it made to be honest.

Funny thing is, not 20 minutes earlier when we were at the bottom of the hill having beers and talking a bit before hitting the hill, Chris @Sandtaco was saying how he wanted to get a rear swingout bumper. It was like the gods were listening

Oh we forgot to mention .Lots of fucking traffic on Lockwood/MJT today.

    It was like the 405.

Large group of heeps and and another group of 1 first gen and 2 third gens that were going sooo slow. Freaking trail limo took forever to get around one of the hairpins.
