No EGR? Normal or not?

    Currently taking off decals. New wiper blades and vent visors
    Hey everybody. My 03 2.4l, 2wd doesmt have an egr. It has a blockoff plate. Any benefits or drawbacks? Runs fine. Exhaust is leaky, thats how I discovered this. I just curious if this was factory or not. East Coast vehicle BTW. Thanks for any guidance.

    Only tacomas that were made for sale in carb states got egr. My truck doesn’t have egr either.
