There are NO superchargers or turbochargers or any kind of forced induction currently for the Third Gen Tacoma. There are a hand full of companies working on both so we should have some options in the near future

This is my super charger. I put it in my 3rd gen v6. My phone charges so much faster than with my previous charger, I notice a huge difference. But I'm pretty sure it works for the v4 also, it's universal.

Thanks for the tip eon, I'm gonna look for one of those on eBay right now!

No there is not. Should be one soon - within the next year most likely.

Once there is one available, I might be tempted enough to jump to a 3rd gen.

Are there any problems associated with the charger or wearable parts?
How long are they good for?

Search in second gen forum. No one has a supercharger therefore no one knows on the 3rd gen.. I believe the 2nd gen came down to a tune and an extra injector, could be wrong. But we do have a different engine and trans than last gen I believe.

Obviously with forced induction you’re creating stress on the internal components. The 3rd gen engines to my knowledge weren’t designed for forced induction, but I could be wrong. They are used in lexus vehicles but not sure if they’re turbocharged. Running low boost (5lbs-7lbs) shouldn’t do much. Do research on general wear on supercharged engines. It doesn’t have to be specific to the Tacoma.

IIRC OV tune said our motor is basically the same as the Lexus powerplans that are twin snailed. So low boost on the 3.5 shouldn’t be that much of an issue.
