Speedo and tach back lighting

    First day driving the truck around and i notice ... when i turn on the drl’s the gauges (tach ,speedo) are completely dimmed with no backlight... is there any way to make the gauges light up with the drl’s... i played with the day setting button on the radio and that doesnt seem to fix my issue .. am i crazy?

    Did you try turning up the dash lights using the "trip" stem....... Don't push, just turn..:thumbsup:

    5% Tint, ARE V-Series w/ Yack Rack, Ebay Grill, Emblem Black Out Kit, Bumpershellz, Predator Tube Steps, Radioknobs by Tacowiede, Kicker Speaker Upgrade
    This drives me crazy too. Its so much easier to see the gauges while wearing sunglasses when the backlighting is on. They should be lit 100% of the time by default without having to turn the headlights on at all.

    Most manufacturers did this for a while. The problem arises when idiots think their head lights are on at night because they see the dash lights on, just ignoring the fact that it's soo f'ing dark in front of their vehicle.

    So im not crazy then? I mean i can see the gauges during the day but in certain lighting it isnt the best when there is zero back light on them
