Trade it and get a cement one. Nothing like drooling over somebody's else color.
Is like you married Jane to get in the family but in reality would really like to bang her sister Mary.

The dealer told me to hang on a second while he went and grabbed one of those ad plates as we were closing out the deal. I told him not to worry about it because it would be the first thing to go. He was not happy. I took the entire front plate assembly off too. Luckily for me the dealer hadn't even had my truck on the lot long enough to get a decal installed on the tailgate yet.

OP, the mods depend on how you plan to use your truck. Remind us again your plans with it?

Yes on the mud flaps. Dealer could have tossed those in. It’s worth it for the protection and they don’t look bad. The 2nd gen front flaps were so long. I can’t get used to those but I like the 3rd gen flaps. If you are going off road heavy you might look at more flexible options. And, like others have said, the bed mat is really useful for keeping things from sliding around and will offer protection, too. And hopefully you can get your local dealer to price match ($85 or so??). I would also highly recommend the Husky X-act contour floor mats. They’re perfect. Glad you like your new truck! It’s a beauty!

First thing i did on my Gen 2 when i bought it new was to take some snips and trim off the bottoms of the mud flaps.

They looked gay from the factory.Just rounded the corners after i got them to a length that looked good

    Thanks.

Was a bit nervous cutting them but it came out pretty good.Best way to keep the cuts uniform on all 4 was to cut the first one and use the piece i cut off as a template on the other 3 flaps

My only other option was to remove them and that was a last resort as they have saved my paint over the years.

I don’t want to hijack OP’s cool thread, but in my opinion, you made a nice improvement. Looks great.

That color would look great with the chrome badges blacked out. Try it first with plasti dip. If you like them that way, permanently black them out with overlays.

I’m glad to hear day two is much better! You’re going to love your truck. I’m going to join everyone else and say the bed mat is a must have.

I like the cement too but the silver is great. My 2x first gens were silver and I miss it.

You'll also be glad for the d cab with grand kids. Even if it's once a year.

You have a killer truck and I also have the off road but never go off road!!
