The local firefighters did the same thing. They setup one of the pumpers too and let the kids spray down an older car with the hoses (with help of course!)

Not hard. There's actually a TV show called Boarder Security where they show the process. It's up to you to prove how much money you have. So basically you have to whip out your wallet and either call your bank or show them your banking app with the funds you will have available for your trip.

No, you won't have any trouble. I've never been asked how much I have on hand either. I just know why they do it from that show and family who works for CBSA.

It's intended to weed out the 'one-way' Tourist. It's surprisingly common for American's to show up at the door with all of their worldly possessions in an effort to 'Move to Canada', and expecting our social-welfare state to pick up the tab on admittance, for whatever they should happen to think that they need. Never mind the fact, that you just can't 'Move to Canada'.. or claim benefits of a Canadian.

Can’t speak to the accuracy of this App, but a few days ago it was saying smoke equivalent to ~10 cigarettes in Calgary.

I’ve pulled back on running outside this week in Calgary because of it.
