    Afternoon fellow Tacoma owners,

I haven't posted on here in a while since I haven't really made any mods to my 2008 tacoma.

Unfortunately a few months ago my truck was broken into and my Pioneer AVIC-X940BT headunit was stolen. The wires were cut so I am left with the bare factory wires. I wanted to reconnect or rewire the factory harness and then install the new Pioneer AVH-2330NEX headunit I purchased using the wiring harness for the new headunit. I am having difficulty matching the wires to connect the factory radio harness.

I'm not the most experienced when it comes to audio so seeing all these wires is a bit confusing. Luckily I found some diagrams to help out.

This is currently how I have it set up. My main issue is the Red and the Green wires on the new harness. I have the Red connected to what I think is the Gray wire from the truck and the Green wire connected to the Black wire from the truck. However now that I think about it I suppose what I think the Black and Gray wires are could actually be the Gray and Brown. So I currently don't have the black wire from the new harness connected to anything as I don't see a brown wire from the truck.

I also have these wires which I honestly don't know what they are for.

Then these wires are coming out from the bottom of the steering wheel.

I know it's a lot and I am in over my head but I wanted to see if maybe I could get some guidance on here. Thanks in advance and please ask for more photos or clarification if needed.

As far as the ones by the steering wheel, looks like gps antenna, green might be parking brake, purple might be reverse trigger(if you have a back up cam), and the black one might be the bluetooth mic.

Only way to know for sure is to find out where they are going.

Hey I think I can help you out PM inbound. I had make a similar repair on my BIL's Taco. Off the top of my head the the Purple and White wire is your Speed Sensor and the green wire is the Illumination, but I can help you figure out the rest no sweat.
