Life has its priorities. Missing your significant others birthday party would definately not be the smart thing to do!

Install was a breeze. It took about 15 minutes. I tucked it inside the console in front of the cup holders. I can still hear the beeps so no worries there.

Yes it stays plugged in the OBDII all the time. Easy to unplug for emissions testing if needed. I'm using the default #2 map and it's much better than the stock ECU map. Lugging and gear hunting are all but gone now. I would definitely recommend the ShiftSense Pro!

In a few hours I will be taking my Tacoma on a 5 hour trip to see my middle daughter, son in law, and 3 grandsons. Tomorrow, I will be taking them to see the fireworks but before we go I hope to spend some time with my older 2 grandsons to explain the true meaning of Independence Day since many schools don't teach it anymore. The fact that many of the signers of the Declaration of Independence died either in battle or through disease. Many of them had their homes or farms looted, burned or destroyed and had nothing to go back to after the war. The cost of the freedoms that we enjoy today is very high because it was paid in the blood of our anscestors who went before us. There are many brave young men and women who are serving today to preserve those freedoms.

A few days ago I got back from a trip to the rocky mountain states to see the final 6 states on my bucket list to see all 50 states. My oldest daughter who has been working in Germany for the last 2 years and my youngest daughter who has been working in France for the last 3 years took time off from their jobs to meet up with my wife and me at the Rapid City airport. The first thing we did was rent a car and see Mount Rushmore. We then proceded on a semi horseshoe route and saw 8 states, 6 national parks and 1 state park before flying home from Denver. We live in the most beautiful country on this planet. My oldest daughter has been to 51 countries around the world and my youngest daughter has been to 44 countries while I have only been to 25 countries. We agreed that there is nowhere else we would rather live than in America. We have only been given a very limited number of days to live here and we need to live every day to the fullest because our lives are like a vapor that appear for a little while and then vanish away.

Gorgeous truck. Hopefully I’ll get to see it at the Fiesta Island meet up on 7/14. Love your picture. We’re lucky to live in such a beautiful city. I get to look at this from my office every day...

My wife admittedly does not get it with many of the mods seen here as well as some things I have done or plan to do with my Taco and the house.

She does however have a great attitude about my modding which in her words is: "As long as we can afford it and it makes you happy, Go for it!!"

I think she is a keeper, we are just a couple months from our 20th so it probably safe for me to call it a good fit at this point. :D

I have a not-mechanically-inclined neighbor who sits on his deck and stares when I work on my truck. He watched me do the grille, swap exhaust, do the shocks, then mount the skid, use an angle grinder on the skid to clear the front recovery. I imagine he really freaked out when I pulled the grille, dropped the bumper and swapped headlights. My wife just yawns at it. I have been working on cars more than our 38 years of marriage. She worries when I am not working on something.

My wife worries when I am working on something, especially when it's not the house. I can be a little fussy. Never much believed in good enough. It's either right or it isn't. I've been driving this poor woman crazy for more than 45 years. God only knows why she puts up with me but she does and I love her for it!

Sounds like a keeper from here. How can you not love a woman that puts up with our BS.
Hell, I wouldn't put up with me!

True, and she is almost through the trial period, or maybe it's me that is almost through the trial period.:rofl::rofl:

It is clear she has some mental issues. She thinks she is lucky to have me. I have met me and found that most of the rumors are true, I really am an ASS. :spy:

There is another hole above to the left about a quarter size with a rubber stopper there. I wired my anytime front and rear camera through there. I took it off and like that access to inside. You can make a whole in the carpet layer or just go down and out the area where the firewall hole is. I not sure if that made since but if need i will get some pics later this evening.
