Installation happening this Friday. The estimate I received was around $348. That is for the removal/install and replace the seal/fluid. Keep in mind my labor rate is higher because I already have my own parts, but, in reality, the labor mark up is about the same as the cost of the part so I think it's a wash (other than the shipping I paid for the bushing).

So did it get done today?
I’ve never been to the 4x4 center
    Your thoughts?

Done. I'm impressed with those guys. Fair pricing and really knowledgeable about off road rigs. They have a driving school and a couple of heavily modified Tacomas they put through the paces. They know these trucks well. Parking lot is full of all sorts of beautiful rigs.

My truck rides amazing now...it was so rough before, I guess I got used to it but the difference is significant.

Funny story though...I should start by saying I have a Platinum warranty. So last month I took my truck to the dealership convinced my front left wheel bearing was bad. The dealership completely discounted me. They said there was no play and I was hearing "tire noise" because I'm running ko2s. This was not tire noise. I even said to the guy that these bearings can go bad without play, so they ran it on the lift...nope, it's tire noise they say. They did not use a stethoscope. I wasted a couple hours of my workday just to be turned away. I wrongly assumed they knew what they were doing. So I moved on to the next probable culprit, the needle bearing. As soon as the the 4x4 Center tore into my truck they called and said my wheel bearing was bad. I went ahead and had both the wheel and needle bearing replaced and it drives like a brand new truck. Now the fight to get reimbursed for the wheel bearing from Toyota begins. The good thing is it is documented that I was there for this very issue and I have the wheel bearing. It's obvious when you look at it.

Glad they found that issue and fixed it, that’s nothing to be driving around with. For Toyota to just say there’s nothing wrong is terrible that’s a serious hazard that could have resulted in a serious accident. I’d definitely be pissed off and would go back in person and start a huge fuss in front of people in the waiting room. F**k dealerships man...

The worst part was I made the appointment specifically to have the wheel bearing checked and told them which one it was! Still missed it. I spoke with Toyota Financial Services/Warranty and they are reimbursing me, so that's good. This seems to happen every time I go to this particular dealership; they're either reluctant to do warranty work or truly incompetent and missing real issues (even when I tell them exactly what it is). It doesn't make sense, it's free money.

I was talking to my neighbor and he said there were a bunch of built Tacoma’s going thru Stowe this past weekend or the one before. I have a few beers in me so don’t remember what weekend it was. What did I miss

What size tires are you running. Says it will fill up to 33. A friend of mine had a Viair and it died after the first season. He had 35s so that may have been an issue.

Not sure, but I wish I knew.

I’m running 32’s right now but they will be 33’s soon.

It will work. There are a couple guys who use them out here. They are a bit slow though. But really its not bad if you only air back up to 20-25 and then fill up with a real compressor once home. Thats what I do with my arb compressor

Nice, good on you guys! I automatically assumed they were VT tacos and didn't make the connection with your planned event :anonymous: The pictures look like it was a blast. Wish I could've made it.

Edit: why on earth would people be protesting?!

Can't really say (it's political) so it makes it against the TW COC
