My cousin had one and really liked it back in college. Got rid of it a few years ago, never had an issue and only did the regular maintenance to it.

    Pros:
    Good off roader
Older tech etc.. than the new cars
    Warranty

    Cons:
Bad view from inside, can't see out sides or rear really.
smaller in the back I believe (if you have AC cab doesn't matter)
10 years older than your truck, older tech etc...
Who knows what the fuck has been done, and by who

I think depending on how you use it it could be a good thing, but I have NO idea about your life situation as you haven't mentioned anything about your motivation or place in life. I expect YOU are making money off this trade? If you are doing it at a loss I would reallllly think a bit harder about that.

Some *early production* '07's had inner fender bulge, ring gear problems and transmission shudder.
Think those problems would have showed up by now. :notsure:

I have an 07 with 6MT transmission and aside from the throw out bearing chirp it has been great. The early 07's (mine included) are very prone to leaking oil from the timing chain cover. It's a pretty involved repair. Other than that, they are very solid vehicles. Mine amazes me more and more everyday. You can work around the blind spots if you adjust your mirrors out a little more. I've had mine over a year now and love it more and more each day.

I traded my 16 Taco for a 12 FJ and I love it. If I need a truck bed I rent a utility trailer from Uhaul for about $15 a day. I loved the Taco also but I’ve always wanted an FJ so I made the jump. 2BC1A67D-311F-4844-BEE7-6A0ED3F4FCA8.jpg

I just sold my 16 Taco and bought a 14 FJ.
One of the best decisions I’ve made. But if you do it look for a 2010-2014 better engine and rear end than the 07-09’s.
    I have a 97 5 lugger when I need a truck.

Had a '12 FJ and traded it for a pro 4runner. Sold the 4runner a few months back and really wishing we had the FJ back. Never had an issue and would go anywhere.

I have a small 4x8 trailer for just that but wish it was a bit bigger like a 5x10 or so.

Ive got an 07' FJC 4x4 locking diffs (basically the TRD without the TRD shocks and emblems) and a 2010 TRD Sport...FJ tows/wheels great no issues, no leaks and more..guess i was one of the lucky ones. TRD great daily driver and mtn traveler for snow/sierras 149,000 on the taco, and 90k on the FJC
