No this is definitely chirping that I hear. I know the ticking you're speaking of, but this is definitely chirping.

I really don't think you should feel the need to focus on "making it go away". Direct injection sounds like crickets, that's just a quirk of the technology. Certain fuels from different places may make the sound less noticeable, but you aren't saving anything or hurting anything either way. Your ECU monitors and adjusts what it needs to change with the fuel it's injecting, and some fuel may react in a way that makes it quieter, but that doesn't mean you should be afraid to use fuel from anywhere but one certain gas station.

If you're just looking for quieter operation, you can play around with fuel. If you are worried about the long-term durability of you're vehicle, everything is okay.

    Paragraphs to big to read.

You should hear the MSDS on an idling Challenger, louder than the exhaust.

Had the same issue on mine, wasn't there at the start but developed over time. Sourced it back to the fuel station I was using, switch stations and hasn't been back since. Much easier than trying to get the fuel pump switched out.

Do you need to know, or care?
Are you talking about the little screen in the middle of the dash dimming? No, that knob won't control that, just the regular dashlights when you turn the headlights on.

Yes the regular dash lights, not the screen Toyota answer was well there is a different way to do that and never showed me at my maintenance service. So the long knob you can push to change the odometer and turn left or right to adjust dash lights does not turn to the right. And if i try to adjust it i can turn left to turn down the dash light but to get them back to normal i cant turn it to the right. and the adjust screen takes a long time to go away back button just makes it flash and it stays there.

I made a thread on this a year ago. Get your HP fuel pump and pump cam replaced. Solved

Yours is 100% resolved? Haven't done anything different since then? Like fueling routines, brands, grades, and additives?

Nope no more noise. Had it changed at a couple thousand miles. I have 18k on it now. I drove my truck from Miami Florida to Alaska and used any fuel possible, still no noise. After putting about 15k miles on it
