Anybody have thoughts on modifying tire size on my 2014 TRD. I presently have 265/ 65 17 on there now I want to go a little larger but my dilemma is that I want to keep my factory wheels , I would like to go to 285 17 but I think I would need a leveling kit ,any thoughts

I have the same wheels and am looking at going 255/75/17. Taller but narrower reducing the likelihood of rubbing. I'm installing a 2" lift first though. I think you may have issues with 285's on stock suspension but could go taller and narrower with less issues.

265/70 17’s are the largest you can do and expect no issues with stock wheels and a stock 2nd gen Sport.

Istalled a 2" leveling lift , 1.25" Spidertrax spacers , nothing on the rear .Tires are G2 Grapplers 285/70R17 on stock rims. No rubbing and left the mudflaps on. Bigger tires than the stock 265 65 R17 will rub on the inner wall against the UCA , you need to spacers to resolve that.20181219_164622_HDR.jpg

What can you tell us about the lift? Where to get it done, what does one need to do it at home? (My shop capabilities are reduced these days)
