Curious why intake valves on a '16 would need attention?

That said, i like crc products. But for top end cleaning ive found Techron or Seafoam to work just fine.

The 3.5 V6 Tacoma has both direct and port fuel injection, so if you want to clean the system, pour some Techron in your fuel tank.
I've seen Techron clean some really nasty deposits off of the valves in one of my motorcycles.

As was said right above me, the 3.5 has both PI and DI, so in theory the valves should get somewhat cleaned through the port injection process. Also, many DI only motors will use valve timing to keep the intake valves clean. I do not know if the 3.5 Tacoma utilizes this process.

I do want to add that I have not seen the condition of the valves or the intake after some mileage, so it is difficult to give a definitive answer.

Warm your truck up, then drive it in the higher rpm range, 4500-6000, for a few minutes, like ascending a long hill.

On a 3rd Gen engine maybe after 200k miles might consider using these CRC..

The only thing I like is to occasionally pour a bottle of Lucas Upper Cylinder Lubricant in the gas tank maybe 2-3 times a year. I've seen gas mileage improvements in my older vehicles. Otherwise maybe Seafoam when you hit 100k miles?

FYI, the motor will do a self cleaning if right conditions are met, you will notice sometimes after the motor is warmed up if its idiling it will get wacky and noisy, this is the self cleaning process taking place.

Are you running your truck on 2-cycle premix? Why do you think you have fouled intake valves?

I believe the cleaning cycle on our truck occurs during sitting at idle, go order some food at a busy drive-thru and you will be good to go.
