Once upon a time many moons ago I had a 1st gen Tacoma. I miss it a lot and learned a lot from this site.

Honestly miss that truck a lot. Dumped too much cash into it but will always be "the first build".

Anyways onto the new one. Got it the last year of high school (4 years now) used with 18k and bone stock.

First thing's first, did a spacer leveling kit and slapped on 34's

Went off to college, did a couple more mods to it, and my truck got hit a whopping 4 times all while parked in the parking garage... so decided to get some nice bumpers for it, fender flares, and a new set of wheels. Went for the mall crawler look for a while

Fast forward some more time and I added Bilsteins at 2.8 up front, new coils in the rear, Total Chaos UCA's, and got tired of the fender flares

Now onto the fun stuff. This summer I got tired of being a mall crawling bro and wanted to actually use the truck for what I've built it for. That means no more 20's and some better tires. For some reason (actually thanks to TacomaWorld :boink:) I wanted to fit the biggest tire possible. In comes 37's

Spec's on it are 17x8.5 Method NV with 37x12.5 Cooper STT Pro. Mounted and aired up the Coopers measure out to a very healthy 36.25 inches which is plenty for me.

Fitting them honestly was stupid easy. All I did was trim back some of the pinch weld and had to mold the plastic fender liner with a blow torch.

When I say it was easy, this is all the cutting I had to do lol

End result, have plenty of room for activities

This truck now is such a boss. I'm so happy with it.

If you guys ever decided to make stock length lowers for the ram, I would totally be a test truck :fingerscrossed:

I'll get some more pics when I have the time

It's always fun when UPS drops by

4.56 gears are gonna help turn these 37s pretty nicely

    Looks nice.

I vote for more height. Kinda snug there.

Glad I've got the 6.4 and 4.10s. Thought about 4.88s, but the Hemi does plenty.

6.4 is a beast of a motor. The 66rfe in your truck has a slightly taller overdrive than mine. Those 4.88's would make that truck even more of a beast.

I thought about more height but I like the stuffed look. So far it doesn't rub at all

No worries. Not expecting much activity posting a dodge on a tacoma forum lol

Those 37s as well? Also just judging from the pictures you sit about 2 inches higher than me. I would love to get a PW or a DCLB Tacoma as a daily once this truck truly turns into the toy.

    Yup, 37x12.5x17 Toyo RTs
PW is supposed to be about 2" taller than a stock 2500
I've got Thuren 1/2" lift springs in the front and their softer springs in the rear. Actually went up about 3/4-1" up front and down 1/8-1/4" in the rear. Ground to lip is 44" front and 45-1/4" rear depending on load.

King 3.0 Resi Fronts and 2.5 Piggyback rears are expected to be delivered tomorrow.

Yup, built to his specs. He's got stages of tunes that he further tweaks to the specific truck setup.
