2006 2wd pre assembled front struts

    Hey,
    I am looking for some pre assembled front struts for my 2006 2wd regular cab Tacoma. I found Gabriel g57133 and g57134 struts but some websites seem to recommend these only for 4wd Tacoma's.

    Also an insight on how dangerous compressing the spring coil is on struts is appreciated. I would be okay with re-using my coils and just buying new shocks, but from what I have heard it seems like compressing coils with the hand tool spring compressors from auto zone is pretty risky business.

    Any help is greatly appreciated !
