Can anyone tell me what the engine rpm would be at 50 mph or any speed where the automatic transmission is in 6th gear on a vehicle with factory tire size. If it matters, I'm more concerned with the non double cab truck.

I've looked all over for this information and can't seem to find it. Thank you in advance for your help.

I'm slightly oversized in the tire Dept, but from memory, probably about 1100 rpm in 6th at 50 mph with the auto. It's really low. I can't see body configuration mattering much.

If the truck is even in 6th at 50. It will be around 1200rpm

Thank you both. I thought 50mph was a bit low for 6th gear in the automatic, but I just wanted to get an idea of what the engine rpm would be. That's even lower than my GMC which will be going to a new home soon.

This truck likes overdrive. It likes it so much it has 2 overdrive gears.

Don't expect that to equate to anything meaningful outside of EPA testing, unless you can cruise that speed on flat ground.

With a 3.90 rear ratio I would say it needed it.

No, EPA stickers are like "the check is in the mail". I just wanted to get an idea of what the truck turned at a given speed in 6th.

I checked mine today, 6th Gear at 50 was roughly 1500 RPM, guess the Manuals rev a little higher since we have steeper rear gear.

    Manual should be:

Post #9 is the auto that you asked for. Post #12 is for the manual as stated.

(All TRD models are V6. 4WD/2WD, cab size, bed length don't matter.)
