I took the rattlecan challenge. For me it's perfect, a lot of rookie flaws up close but passes the 10 test. Ten feet away or ten miles an hour it looks perfect. After a couple trips through the Dillon SC swamps it will be perfect.

Full Pic. I have to finish blacking out tool box and rear bumper. Oh yeah, and paint the other half of the truck.

Thanks again. My clearcoat was peeling everywhere over white paint. I had to sand the piss out of the whole truck by hand. Had auto paint mixed and put into cans (8) 260.00 Sherwin Williams. I had to tape and cover alot because I didn't think that I could do a good job trying to paint the whole thing at one time. Every separate panel was taped off, painted and dried for one day until going to the next panel. It really turned out good. You can learn alot watching youtube.

I wanted a camo that went well with white paint. Legends Snow was the winner. It is antlers and twigs with snow on them. I didn't want to change wrap so I used artist brush and backed out all white snow. I then highlighted the antlers with quick sand and covered the legends snow emblem with Q.S.. You can tell on the back that it still has snow. Not finished yet

Looks like a better paint job than Maaco and you now have the satisfaction of doing something yourself on your rig.

Nice!! I'm wanting to paint mine the same color. Have a friend that has auto painting equipment but trying to get him to commit to helping is nearly impossible lol. I hate prepping and painting so I really don't want to attempt it myself either :bananadead:
