Where are these people crawling out from the cracks now when it's time for the cool kids to go wheeling?

 

Planning to wheel sat at dtor. If u want additional details PM me. Got a handful of things to do before I head out and checking tthethread gets sidelined

 

May or may not show at dtor. Depends on temps/rain

 

Any idea on when you will know I might head to wildcat if you guys aren't going to dtor

 

I'm a 40/60 maybe (go/no go) ....and it would be close to lunch time IF I go. Don't plan around me being there. I don't want to mess up anyone else's plans.

 

I'm going, it's just a time of departure that is in question

 

So most everything was able to be acquired in time for the oil change this weekend.

Question on transfer case oil. What did you guys use? Same as Front and rear diff?

Nooo.. gear oil in dif is way different than atf in t-case

Yes. At least in a 2nd gen. I used Supertech synthetic

$29 75w-90 Synthetic Gear Lube - 1 Quart (Pack of 2)

75w-90 in the rear and front diffs, and the t-case. Put Redline MT-90 in the transmission.

 

So which is it?

 

I've put gear oil in both diffs and t-case twice now (every 30k miles) without any explosions or excessive shavings on the mag plugs.

I put mobil 1

$29 75w-90 Synthetic Gear Lube - 1 Quart (Pack of 2)

75w-90 in both my diffs and t-case. No issues. Manual calls for 75w-85 in the rear diff that no one has. Mobil 1 works great, and in my opinion, i feel that locker engagement is smoother.

 

yeah, I dont see much difference. I ordered a case of 75W-85 from redline. Unless there is objection, it's going in both front, rear and transfer case.
