So im looking at this fuse block for the trailer....
And i think this would pair with it nicely... 8 switches, 2 12v plugs, volt meter, and 2 usb plugs. Anyone have suggestions on other prebuilt 8 switch setups?

I would do that fuse panel, but a different switch setup... if you want the outlet setup, Blue Sea makes one that I have that I put in the bed of the truck that is really nice.

Almost as a pay once, cry once setup when it comes to electrical...

Here is what I would suggest, just from what I am thinking out loud here.

Volt Meter - yes it is useful, but if you want a way to monitor your battery on the trailer, I would instead put a National Luna Battery Monitor (http://www.sierraexpeditions.com/index.php?l=product_list&c=297) not sure if you are going to run dual battery or single battery on the trailer or how you are planning on doing it honestly, but this way you have an actual monitor with alarm for the battery so if the battery does get low if will start alarming you. Not sure if you were going to put Solar on the trailer or not but this way it will also let you know if the batteries are being charged or not...

12V outlets - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AYOSD50 - you can either do that one, or one that has two dual USB outlets in it plus the cig lighter style port. These are a fused panel as well...

I would also suggest to be sure to put in a main breaker between the battery and everything so you can have one main shut off point to everything just in case.

As far as switches go, you could also do a Blue Sea WeatherDeck panel as well, but those do get pricey depending on what you want. A 6 Pos, Switch Only setup is about $60 (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GZOGJ78) which I don't think you would need to have each switch fused if you are also running the fuse block and each thing is fused from that already. An 8 Pos, switch only is $71 (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GZOGPL8)

This way everything is waterproof and weatherproof, properly fused and everything else.

Haha. yeah if you know me then you know i dont half ass stuff. This trailer will be nice when im done with it, im not buying all top name brand items, i will get the cheaper stuff where i can, but the eletrical stuff will be done up nice.

Just need to not listen to my step dad because he like to get the cheap stuff because "its the same thing" but his things tend to break all the time and he has to fix/replace his "same things"

Those switches that i posted though are water/weather proof so that is something i was concidering, i just need to find a place that i want to mount that big ass switch plate.... May need to go with a couple smaller ones, 1 for the inside, 1 for the rear. And maybe one on the outside for power access.

There is a hole already in the side of my trailer next to the door, so instead of patching it, i may use it as a power recepticle to charge stuff, or it may go as a porch light.

Im thinking maybe this weekend. I will have the rest of the stuff im ordering come in this weekend. i just need to design the electrical layout and then the fun will start.

Probably cutting whole in the top this weekend to install that roof vent. Need to pick up some sealant for the vent, and some flex seal for under the new storage box to protect it from the elements.

And i will probably try to run the wires for the trailer lights.

Would like to start welding on the new frame and tongue. Not sure when that will happen though.

If you ordered that wiring off Amazon be careful because a lot of the wiring I looked at was aluminum or copper coated. Copper only was hard to find

I will get AWG wire for the battery wire and such, but the wire that will be powering my LEDs im not too concerned with.

What gauge wire did you use on your trailer?

Then this pigtail at the other end into the junction box

Welp just ordered the Inteli-power 4000 to manage all my electrical stuff. Every review i have read has been pretty positive so far, i will let you know what my opinion is once its installed. Also picked up some 12 gauge wire, and a roof vent install kit.

Now to return the Blue Sea fuse block / 40 amp breaker / and 40 amp fuse i just ordered yesterday....

More progress on the trailer this weekend...

    • Hole has been cut for the roof vent/fan. Need to get the wires ran, and head liner cut so i can do the final mount and power.
    • Extended the rear deck and made an enclosed area for battery/electrical storage on one side, general storage on the other. (Probably going to redo this with a table saw as the cuts were not perfectly straight, which caused the measurements for the electrical box to be slightly crooked. That would drive me nuts every time i looked at it so it will be done again. Its only 2 boards so it will be easy.)
    • Rear hatch door has been fully wired for tow lights, "cook" lights, and speakers.
    • Bought some #4 welding wire for battery leads, and battery terminals

Probably going with these speakers if i can not find some 6x9s...

Also got a free inline amplifier that i need to test to see if it works. If so its going in the trailer!
    45w RMS x 4

    Found this for about $60
