    Hello,

I've got some strange lighting issues going on with my 2008 Tacoma. Previously my brake fuse in the engine room would blow every few weeks. Then a couple of months ago, the brake circuit started energizing the passenger side turn signal. If the brake pedal was depressed, I would get a solid turn indicator on the dash and both front and rear turn lights would activate. Now, the problem seems to have gotten worse as the 10 amp fuse blows as soon as I depress the brake pedal.

The same issue causes my dash and radio lights to dim, I'm guessing from the voltage drop.

Before you guys suggest the towing package, I've already disconnected it. Problem persists.

It seems like I have a short somewhere, but I've taken everything I can think of apart and a visual inspection reveals nothing. No apparent wiring chafe, connectors appear in good condition with no corrosion. All bulbs on the circuit are clean and filaments in tact. Can someone please help me narrow this thing down? It's getting pretty frustrating.

The only place the brake light circuit and turn signal circuit come together is the harness running to the rear of the truck and the tail lights .

You have inspected this harness the whole way??

There should be a plug either right before it comes out of the truck or after it comes out the truck unplug that see if your fuse still opens .
