Well, back home from the trip. Had a good time and enjoyed the 45-50 degree mornings and mostly 70-80's days. Hope everyone had a good 4th of July. We spent the night of the 3rd watching shooting stars over the campsite in the Grand Canyon. We were gone 5 nights, and camped 3 of the 5. On the first hotel my daughter needed to get some of her class stuff done that is given out on Mondays, and we stayed in a hotel Thursday night because we were in Tombstone Az. Figured it would be too hot to camp, but when we walked around the town that night it was actually not bad at all. We had planned to camp that night in the Prescott National Forest, but wanted to be closer to home the next morning and we also wanted to see tombstone, so we elected to just go there that night. All in all it was a good trip. Didn't do any wheeling, and the only trails I was on was in an Indian Reservation. But time wasn't on our side. In total I did 3086 miles in the 6 days and 5 nights I was gone. Up through New Mexico, into Arizona, up into Utah, and back into Arizona before heading home from there. Tacoma was loaded pretty heavy, but handled it well. The 500lb AP expos did squat a little but in the future the smaller tent will be on it and most of the other junk will be in the scout trailer. All in all it was a nice little trip.

It was a good week for sure. Wish I could upload more pics but this one at a time is a deal breaker for me. lol. I prefer forums that let you load multi at once. It would have been nice to stay out longer like I had originally planned, but that's how it goes sometimes. Looking forward to getting set up to not have to rely on places for bathroom etc too. But now that the trailer is at my cousins shop, I can get it together and start slowly getting it set up for that. Although a nice hot shower and and AC and a good bed are an occasional welcomed sight.. lol. I don't have to be back to work until July 24th so we'll probably find our way on a couple of more trips before it's over. Just closer to home.
