    Just curious??

I'm guessing rock crawlers and such are subject to some pretty heavy jarring about, often at some odd angles with the truck tilted. I see in the owners manual this can cause easier deployment of air bags (if I read it right).

What do you all do?? Deactivate them? Is it really an issue to concern yourself with?

If you're offroading a daily driver THAT hard, then it's time to invest in a dedicated off road truck

Do you need to know, or care?
Typically, airbags will only deploy at speeds above a minimum of 8mph (depending on manufacturer and airbag settings) normally if rock crawling (etc) you won't be going anywhere near that speed when navigating around obstacles. Shouldn't be too much of a concern.

Just don't do what that idiot did in his Raptor jumping a hill (YouTube that if you want a good laugh).

There is no way to deactivate on 3rd Gen.

Thinking pulling fuse would be the only option

A good concern but the only thing that makes them go off is rapid rollover, or rapid deceleration(crash)

Some trucks have the issue with simple off roading, but Toyotas don't have this issue. I've done way stupider stuff than these nissans.

That is too bad, the 2nd gen TRD OffRoad has a switch to deactivate the side air bags (RSCA OFF.)

That’s just the rear side curtain airbags. Fronts can still deploy. Better than nothing I guess.

It stands for Roll Sensor Curtain Airbags. It disables all curtains in event of rollover but not side impact. I’m not aware that this only affects the “rear” curtains.

My mistake. Fellow LC owner told me that and I just took his word for it. Should’ve fact checked.

No issues. Rock crawling is all low speed and I haven’t heard of any deploying.
