    Hello,

I am contemplating doing one of the garage door opener mods listed throughout the site, but I wanted to wire up a 3 position momentary (On-Off-On) so that I can utilize both buttons on my garage door opener off of one switch. My only question is, for this type of application, do I need a single pole double throw, or a double pole double throw switch? I'm not exactly what you may call an electrical wizard, so I'm just not entirely sure why I would need 6 pins instead of 3. Just trying to make the right decision. Thank you for any help with this!
