I wasn’t real impressed at the OEM one which is why I didn’t order one when I picked it up a couple weeks ago. I will most likely be going with a backflip or gator. They all will leak a little but really unless your spraying water into the seal, you should never get a huge amount of water back there.

Yea. A lot of Tacomas here on island have the OEM covers. Price isn't bad. What I noticed is a lot didn't sit well on the rails. Looked a little warped at tailgate end and some areas looked not flat. This would totally irritate the fuck out of me. My mild OCD will go off.

Mine had a little leak. Problem solved by installing a tailgate seal. If yours is leaking everywhere, maybe it is not seated properly. Loosen the hex bolt that is under the rubber plug on the curbside of the cover. Check position of cover, retighten.

I always make sure the most important items are in the middle of the truck. Mine leaks on the sides.

It is a decent cover, but my complaint is that it looks warped. the edges of all three sections appear scooped if you will. If I had the money I would out a diamond back on it. Those covers are sweet!

Not everyone here may have the same tri fold (OEM) My dealer explained to me that the one that comes form the factory is better and can only be gotten that way. The one that comes form the dealer is not as good. Has anyone else heard this?

The OEM one is the same and comes from Toyota. In the Southeast, they have another one that can be installed at port. It's not OEM but rather some offbrand thing with some weaksauce LED's underneath. For the money, it's a hard pass.

My ARE tonneau cover does not leak.. It is one piece and goes over the rails and tailgate.

Mine was warped towards the front, so both of the corners didn't sit flush with the bed rail and water got in easily. I had to use some extra seal material to close the gap. For the rear around the tailgate, I used Extang 1140 Max Seal

I have a 2016 Limited so my truck came from the factory with the hardcover. It has leaked a little in major rain storms, but never soaked. I do garage it at home. I'll have to look again after it rains.

BaKFLIP MX4 very minor occasional drip when going through a car wash. Sold oem tri fold to a young guy that needed a cover. OEM looks bad and makes 1/3 of the bed usless unless you do some jerking around to get it off. Yes the oem let in water.

Never noticed any leaking on mine. I washed it this morning and made a point to spray all the seals from about 3 ft away, 1 little leak on the passenger side is all I got20180707_120335.jpg 20180707_120341.jpg
