No, its part of the TVD vinyl black out kit. It a strip of black vinyl that wraps around the OEM locking chrome ring. I had to add a wider strip to mine. My boot rides a little low on the OEM locking ring and exposes more of the chrome

Yup, US side. I work for an OEM supplier. One of my vendors ,(tool shop), is in Windsor. I may need to go scouting farther north to expand our supplier base.

And just in case anyone is making a custom shifter knob themselves, the connector that he designed for the boot works perfectly with the factory boot connector. Screwed it on with two screws to the shifter and it works flawlessly.

Wanting to purchase a Solid 316 SS for 2018 MT. Is there a wait list or should I send payment on over to your PayPal? Newly installed short shifter needs this heavy little beauty to smooth out.

    .
I'm taking a little break from MT knobs to get the AT knob launched, but I will be sure to knock out a few blanks for solid SS knobs this week sometime. Might be a couple weeks before I can finish it up, though.

Just got my knob installed today. Titanium with no plastic retainer clip. I asked Rick if he could knurl this for me and he went ahead and did it, even though I gather it ended up being a huge pain in the ass.

I thought about putting the shift pattern on top but I held off, because this is such a nice shift knob I'm gonna take it with me when the truck finally dies.

Rick's a great guy to deal with and he's clearly an extremely talented machinist. You 100% get your money's worth. Don't think twice just buy whatever he's selling!

The most difficult moment with that knob was parting ways with it. I like how the light reflects inside of the knurl when you spin it around, pretty mesmerizing.

Nice custom collar delete option, that's real clean!

Mind you, not the first Ti knob I've "seen" from Rick...*kicks sand*...serenity now!

Dood, you got the math down for the seamless knurl nicely...well done!

It really is a simple program. Just a 3D X pattern that I put in a conditional macro loop to repeat every 3 degrees. The 4 zone knurl I did initially was only because the buyer didn't want to wait until I could find time to prove this full knurl out.

3 degrees for the tough materials anyway, my standard is a more coarse 5 degrees to make it cost efficient. Can't really think in those terms with titanium. Plus, fine pitch is ideal for constant shifting anyway.

I really can't wait until you get yours. Titanium has been going well, but now I need a new round of end mills.

I roughed these aluminum seat spacers out today with the same 3/8" carbide end mill that I roughed your knob with, and there was a little bit of taper before I finished them with a new 1/2" HSS one.

That's how you know it is pretty shot, fine for roughing aluminum though ... for probably a really long time.

What's the process of removing the factory plastic collar and zip tying the new integrated boot?

    Any console removal?

@tonered designed and 3D printed them, but they take way too long to print. He brought me in to make them a little more efficiently.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/sold-seat-spacers.551453/#post-17930650

You just pull up on the trim, comes right off. Then there are 5 or 6 screws holding the boot and bezel to the trim piece. The parking brake boot has a wire frame that's clipped in place and pulls right off if you need more mobility.

Fairly straight forward, but a little more involved.
