Modifying my factory Toyota jbl package sound system

My 07 Tacoma has a factory jbl system from Toyota. I blew the sub about two years ago, and couldn’t find any information as far as anyone replacing the factory jbl sub with a different brand. I was told by Toyota that the wiring was different and couldn’t be done unless it was swapped for another factory jbl sub. And he wasn’t able to find one. So today I finally took it to an audio place near me and within 2 hours I have a system set up and the bass is way better than the jbl. I’d say about 5x more, definitely rattled my rear view and turns some heads. Just wanted to say it can be done for others with the factory jbl sound system. They left some of the old system and ran the wires through it since it was connected to all the speakers. Cost $550 and I couldn’t be happier.
