Hey guys, sorry to beat this topic to death, but I could use some help regarding updating my audio system. I'm just not really sure what equipment and wiring methods needed to make this setup work...

    I have a '17 offroad dual cab.

I am buying the subaru tweeters.

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PV6F8I2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    The 2 way 6x9 Kicker 44KSC6904
    The 6.75 Kicker 43CSC674

I want more power than the headunit 7" 18watt rms. So while speaking to a crutchfield rep, he mentioned that the Sound Ordinance M75-4 Amp will provide 4 channels of 75 watt rms.

    https://www.crutchfield.com/p_777M754/Sound-Ordnance-M75-4.html

So the thing is, the input for this amp is an RCA input. I'm just not sure what type of connections I need to make to run this thing to the headunit.

Also, I keep reading that I can get away with sticking to the stock speaker wires, barring I won't get an amp stronger than 75 watts. Is this a good option? Sound quality is legit this way, or does quality/loudness get reduced??

Let's say I stick to the stock speaker wires, how do those speaker wires end up going back to the amp's speaker-out connections? Regarding what connects directly to the speakers, I know that I will need the harness to connect to the stock harness that runs it back to the headunit.

If I go with custom speaker wires, I know I'd just run those wires straight without any connections/conversions, right?

Also, regarding the tweeters, and sticking with the factory speaker wires, I would just plug and play that into the connection that goes back to the door speaker via the harness, right? But if I did custom speaker wires, do I need a crossover to connect the tweeters to my new door woofers?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

I used the taco tunes sub setup with kicker 10. Still have not added a 4ch amp for my door speakers, don’t need it.

Edit*** also have subie tweets and fosgate drivers in the door.

My scenario is the other way around. I want louder door speakers but don't care-for/want a sub.

So the thing is, the input for this amp is an RCA input. I'm just not sure what type of connections I need to make to run this thing to the headunit. - You will need a Line Output Converter (LOC) to convert the headunit output to an RCA connection.
Also, I keep reading that I can get away with sticking to the stock speaker wires, barring I won't get an amp stronger than 75 watts. Is this a good option? Sound quality is legit this way, or does quality/loudness get reduced?? - OEM wiring shuld be fine for that amp.

Let's say I stick to the stock speaker wires, how do those speaker wires end up going back to the amp's speaker-out connections? Regarding what connects directly to the speakers, I know that I will need the harness to connect to the stock harness that runs it back to the headunit. - You will need to run speaker wire or speed wire to the the OEM speaker wires.

If I go with custom speaker wires, I know I'd just run those wires straight without any connections/conversions, right? - correct

Also, regarding the tweeters, and sticking with the factory speaker wires, I would just plug and play that into the connection that goes back to the door speaker via the harness, right? But if I did custom speaker wires, do I need a crossover to connect the tweeters to my new door woofers? - depends...If you just buy tweeters, they usually have a cap on them to keep the lower frequencies out. If you are replacing the door speakers as well, I would buy a component set, they would come with an external crossover. Mount the woofer in the door and the tweeter in the dash.

You'll either need to get a line out converter or find an amp with speaker level inputs.

Those wanting just the door speakers louder can go with a 4 channel amp and use the stock wiring up to ~50 watts.

Those just wanting a sub can get a mono amp and tap into the rear speakers for the signal.

Many amps also have signal sense and won't need a separate turn on lead. If they do need a turn on lead you can add a plug and play harness from the OEM headunit.

Taco tunes also makes a plug and play harness that goes into the stock speakers/wiring from an amp. I would install the speakers and listen to them first. It’s less than an hour of work and you will be surprised with the difference. I get no distortion turned up to an uncomfortable volume.

I saw that ********* has a harness for an amp, but it looked like it was only for their amp that they sell. Or am I mistaken? If so, can you link me?

Does this look like something decent to use for an LOC?

    https://www.crutchfield.com/p_142SLC4/Scosche-SLC4-Line-Output-Converter.html

Also, others are saying the stock speaker wires can handle up to 75 watts. Which is true? 50 or 75?

That's the part I'm struggling with. Not sure how to go about running speaker wire or speed wire. Does this mean I need to connect to the factory speaker harness AND have it connect to the amp?

Gotcha. But still begs the question: Is the stock wiring 16 or 18 gauge?

You might want to look at amps that have high level inputs. With this option, you will go from the headunit to the amp, amp to the speakers.

Alpine and Kicker both make small amps that will fit your needs. I believe the Kicker one has a couple crossover settings as the Alpine seems to only have gain adjustments.
