Thank you, I really appreciate it! It's certainly been a long journey to get this one going. Pricing I think is low, but I also feel like the guys who want to try out a new product without all that much in the way of reviews deserve a discount for putting their trust in me. I did mention in the OP that pricing is likely to go up after the first 50 units have been sold so hopefully anyone on the fence has considered that.

How do you like the Tundra? How do you find the gas mileage compared to the Tacoma? I'll eventually be selling my Tacoma (years from now still) and not sure if I will stick with a Tacoma or switch over to a Tundra. Pretty sure it will be one of the two though.

Thanks for the input Ed. Glad to hear you are getting good use out of yours!

I'm quite sure he didn't mean any offense by it. Otherwise absolutely give it a try and let me know what you think. I'm pretty sure I've sold a unit to at least 1 person with the exact same configuration truck as you. That said a lot of time went into designing this and a good portion of that was to make it so that the truck functions exactly the same as it always has with the module installed until you prompt it to enter 2lo.

The best way to describe it is the module is normally in a bit of a sleep mode and will just pass commands and signals along to the 4wd ECU exactly as they are received. It is only once you trigger / activate the module that it will manipulate some of those signals to make 2lo a possibility.

Excellent! That addresses my question perfectly! It's clear you put a lot of thought and hard work into this.

Still loving the Tundra almost 2 years later. The room, comfort, the power... it really is an a different league. I do miss the Tacoma when I hit dirt roads, but my quad fits in the Tundra with the tailgate closed, so you win some, you lose some.

Fuel economy diference between the 4.0L / 6spd Tacoma and the 5.7L / 6A Tundra is almost negligible on the highway. We just got back from a road trip to Oregon, averaged 12.8L/100 km (18.4mpg us) for the whole trip, truck is stock including P-rated tires. Never got much better with the Tacoma, but did have E-rated rubber on it, so it’s not a perfect comparison.

Stop and go driving, or low speed bush roads - yeah, the bigger, heavier beast gets thirsty for sure. Especially in the cold winter months.

Thanks for that info. That is inline with what I was expecting. I wouldn't complain about the added room and comfort, although I don't really "need" a bigger truck. It would be nice when pulling the travel trailer though. I also can't get my tailgate closed with a quad in the back, but my wife has one now too so a lot of the time we are pulling them on a trailer. Just load it in the bed if I am going out with friends and the wife isn't coming. I haven't really noticed any paint chipping on the tailgate as a result though.

    Guys,

Starting tomorrow I'll be out of town for the rest of the week and unable to ship any orders. I will check the mail this afternoon and if any new payments are received I will be able to get them shipped out before I go. I'll update if any new orders are going out

This sure seems a lot easier than swapping to a twin stick manual transfer case. I'm in. PM inbound

    @Up2NoGood

Got my box installed today in like 10 min. Totally easiest thing I ever did and it functions perfect. Didn't even have time to take pics it was that easy. Tested out with some full lock turns in my culdesac and front is def. not engaged. Backed up my steep azz driveway with ease just for fun, pushed in the clutch and switched from 4lo-4hi-2h and lights go off, back to normal driving. Mad props for this mod and thanks for making it available, I will enjoy many many days of effortless 6spd driving in certain situations with no worries of slipping the clutch with a trailer or whatever needed for! I will pass this onto many 6spd drivers out there when I see them.

One super stoked customer and Up2NoGood is one great guy to do business with! Thank you :)

I'm out camping in my new trailer with the family thus weekend, had to back uphill into the campsite to get situated. I'll be in touch shortly to inquire about an order in Canadian funds...

Sounds good, the module will be an absolute treat for a situation like that. Hope you enjoy the trip out with the family. It's been such a busy summer this far that we haven't had a chance to go out camping yet.

Honestly it beats me... I have a sport so no a-trac. I'm just going off of what others with a OR model have said and a quick google check

Welcome to Tacoma World. I think we all started as creepers and eventually signed up... at least that's how it worked for me.

I'll send you a private message on how to get the order placed.
