Hey guys, new to the forum and this is my first post. Looking for honest feedback on suspension upgrades for my 2017 TRD Pro. Im trying to get better clearance and run a 285, being that the truck already has a decent suspension setup with the fox shocks, I would like to go to something with more travel and something that will give me the clearance I'm looking for. Something that will be reliable and that can take a beating also. Im torn between the Old Man EMU BP51 and just doing a total chaos kit with king long travel shocks. Any advice would be great and advice for a wheel and tire combo would be awesome! (Leaning towards 285/75/16 Toyo MT on a Method Standard)

    Thanks!

The price difference you’re talking between the BP-51 and LT TC kit is huge, and so is the type of suspension and subsequent work you’re going to do to make LT work.

Any UCA + brand name kit with reservoirs will be an upgrade over your Pro setup. ADS, King, OME BP-51, Icon, Fox, whatever. Just keep in mind you’ll need springs too, which I’d recommend Deavers or OME for load bearing applications so you won’t have to swap out later.

Know that a lot of coils can’t be adjusted on the vehicle, and don’t ship with options for springs. Your best bet is to work with someone like @HeadStrong Off-Road to get exactly what you want (650-700# springs).

I’d look around the 3rd Gen Build section too. Good templates there.

Well it's nice to see someone shopping for function. As opposed to just wanting to have the look of a lift. :hattip:

    I second calling Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road

Welcome @Aragonm2 to the forum. Nice white Pro I have a red one. I have King anodized red suspension front coil overs 25001-119A with spring rate 650#. Camburg uniball upper arms. deaver leaf springs 1 1/2” rear. kept the the fox rear. regular size tires by gy duratrac. As long u have skids n rock sliders for protection. This will help u no matter how much clearance underneath u have.

Welcome to The Forum! I recommend using the "search function" and read up on suspension systems, wheel and tire combo's, and the pros and cons other people have come across with their builds. Sounds like you almost know what you want.
