Swallow your pride and ego, these guys have been doing it with stock tires on most of their vehicles, no crawl control...maybe center locking diff or something locking diffs. Driver skill matters over technology, I get it times have changed but still relevant and a good video to learn from.

That's long but is really good especially for people new to wheeling. I couldn't believe some of the stuff they were in with stock tires it was impressive.

This is the video that got me started watching Andrew's channel. This video itself was great information (I watched it before I even bought my truck, which is my first 4wd), but his channel as a whole has lots of good information from an often-times cranky old man. Also amazing videography/editing in his newer videos. He certainly is very opinionated, and is not afraid to share that opinion, which can be off-putting to new viewers. Once you realize his background you understand that those opinions have a lot of experience to stand on, and there is a lot of value in what he says.

Yup, agreed, @cow. Some of the stuff AWSP says, I don't agree with. But I do respect him for his decades of experience with travels in some crazy harsh/barren/remote places.

Haha, makes me want to get better tires and that’s it, leave the truck as is and learn from his videos which they did a lot with few or none of the tech we have today in our trucks.

Probably the most common question asked on this and any other off-road site is: "what mods do I NEED to do to my 4x4 in order to go wheelin'?"

Best answer: Switch from paved roads to dirt roads, and just drive...

SOOOOOOO many people buy a brand new truck, and then immediately throw $10k in tires/Fox/King/ICON/bumpers etc... before the truck ever hits dirt.

The more you drive, the more you'll figure out the weaknesses of your vehicle and (more importantly) your skills, and figure out the best way to improve them. I've seen people in open diff stock trucks wheel circles around the dudes with their snorkels, lockers, A-track, and of course, PATCHES BRO!.

    Just. Drive.

That said, I wouldn't trust these guys. They can't even figure out the correct side of the vehicle to steer from... :D
