Oh gawd. That has only been a month. o_O

It was weird because I wasn't getting any post notifications for it anyway.

It might be worth asking a mod to at least post a link to here? :anonymous:

Yeah, I'll have to ask about that.

Also talking to a buddy who might be able to duracoat them black. I'd do it if I wasn't already burning the candle at both ends, but I'll have to wait until he gets me some numbers for that to see if it is practical.

I just got a PM from @Ynot050. He said that he just finished printed his own, so he does not need the metal version. I sent him a link to Post 22 just in case.

Also .... engraving on these spacers is entirely possible. You can check my shift knob threads for examples.

    Link 1

    Link 2

I am testing duracoat over engraving on scrap stock to see how much build up there will be for a custom knob order, so I will have that answer soon I hope.

I plan to work a full day on spacers this coming Saturday, so I will surely have a few sets available soon for those who want the raw aluminum blocks.

Did you happen to get feedback from the first person?

I don't know why this just popped into my head, but this would be one spot where a Taco Truck symbol would be just hilarious.

Nope, haha. I literally just dropped them off at the post office 5 minutes ago.

I figure absolute worst case, if the counterbore I added creates any mounting issues(shouldn't) ... I can just make washers to fill the void. That is all I was worried about, everything else is proven.

Cool! Just anxious to hear about folks experiences with these. Heck, I'm still excited that my wife is comfortable with them.

Wish I could take orders, but I do my best to adhere to site rules with that. I should probably have a conversation with a mod at some point to make sure I'm not pointlessly hurting my own sales by taking things *too* seriously.

But really, I try to uphold their value of protecting the members here from having money tied up on empty promises from shitty opportunists. In time, I will become a legitimate vendor (need a business license first) and things can change with regard to orders.

I do take orders via direct email, but I also only allow myself 3 items per week and plan to stack no more than 3 weeks into the future just to keep myself from becoming buried.

If I did this full time it would be completely different, but this is my spare time we're talking about. Also, some of the machines(not the ones I have at home, obviously) I depend on can be unavailable for up to a week at a time. I am in charge of them, but the priority always goes to other jobs and not my personal stuff. Most members here are pretty understanding about this, but I can never count on that.

It is becoming more and more apparent every single day that I will never, ever have inventory of finished product. Yet, I cannot take orders ... weird spot to be in, but it's not as bad as it sounds.

One day at a time, communicate .. try to keep everyone happy within reason.

I'll put you on the list, and I will go in a top to bottom order. Each will have a day to respond before I move to the next, and if the skipped person replies 3 days later they can jump on the next available set. That fair? I expect some on the list will bail, if my shift knob holds taught me anything.

I don't do lists like this anymore for my knobs, but I will give it a shot for these since I do not think it will attract many impulse buyers (who tend to change their minds pretty often). I figure, if you bail on a set of seat spacers (more a quality of life improvement than impulse buy), it is probably going to be for a good reason.

Open for suggestions, as always. Just spitballin'

Hello, where sis you get the black fenders? I have been looking for them, all I get are the ones with the rivets, which I don't like. I want to replace my white ones for black ones. Please let me know.

    Thanks

They are stock Toyota flares, textured black part numbers are in this post. There is also a trade thread in the 3rd Gen parts section, and I'm sure you will have luck there swapping with another member.

For reasons outlined in post #34, I cannot take your money until the parts are completed.
