Ideal? 65-80 degrees and fairly low humidity. You can help it a little by having a fan move air over it. Not like a wind but just a gentle breeze. I/ve painted in temps from 22 degrees (PITA) to around 120 degrees (miserable) and in 30 years this is the first time I've had this happen. That's spraying all types of materials. You can spray something one day and have unfavorable results and spray with the same materials the next day and have it come out beautiful. Where you live a nice warm day with moderate to low humidity would be great.

Perfect write-up. I've had a blemish like that on one of my fenders since I bought it. I'll definitely be using this to fix it once it warms up!

“Hot rod black” I’ve used some no particular brand it’s been a while. You can also mix in deglosser with regular paint or clear coat

@Casper66 , I know this is an older thread, but I'd like to know if you painted the entire fender flare. I didn't see any pics of where you taped off just the effected area.

I wet sanded the whole flare then taped the whole flare off. I sprayed color over the repaired area until covered good then sprayed the whole flare with clear. I know the white is single stage but with aerosols doing a blend and clearing is the easiest way[/QUOTE]
