Retrax and RealTruck have partnered together to offer an exclusive pre-order opportunity for TacomaWorld members, until the end of July for the new Retrax XR series. Be among the first to utilize this much-anticipated new trax railing system feature from Retrax on their best-selling retractable tonneau covers! This brand new Retrax XR integrates T-slot rails, giving you the ability to mount a variety of aftermarket accessories from Yakima, Thule and Rhino Rack right into the rails of your cover. Crossbars and accessories not included.

The Retrax XR series is available in the Retrax One MX and the Retrax Pro MX, matte black only. Pre orders will be shipped on a first come, first serve basis (pre-orders first), and are estimated to begin shipping August 15th. This is available for the 2nd and 3rd gen Tacoma, short and long beds.

For TacomaWorld members, we are offering forum only pre-order pricing on these covers as well. PM me for details and questions. You can also reach out to @kyle@realtruck

So the Deal just got better! Retrax has offered us the ability to take 10% off the Retail value of the cover during this Pre-Order time. That means as long as the order is placed before July 30 you will qualify for this discount.

Great question! It will be the same difference as the standard Retrax One versus Retrax Pro. The One model is going to be a poly carbonate top, which has a weight capacity of approximately 200 pounds. It will use a friction latch on the driver side to allow to lock in any position. The Pro model uses a double walled aluminum, which can hold approximately 500 pounds on top. They will use a friction latch on driver and passenger side, and can also lock in any position. The XR series integrates the T-slots into the rails and is only available in the matte finish on either model. Operation, install, canister size, and rails stay the same between the two models.

How does this connect to the bed? Will a kb voodoo bed rack fit with tonneau brackets?

Are the construction of top rails the same on both models? I understand the Pro has aluminum slats.

The side T-slot rails are going to be exactly the same between the Pro and One but the blanket, the material that the center of the cover is made out of changes. The One is going to be a poly carbonate top which can hold approximately 200 pounds, where the Pro is a double walled aluminum and can hold approximately 500 pounds on top. You do get an extra friction latch on the Pro model too, one on each side, where the One has it on only the drivers side.

I have the Retrax Pro model and with the brackets, it fits fine. I suppose the biggest obstacle for this particular model will be the inability to slide crossbars along the retrax rails from end-to-end without obstruction. But, I'm sure it'll work fine.

Wish I'd seen this earlier during pre-order. Ah well. Now I have 2 different products to choose from (for the integrated t slot rail system). :)

If I have the MX series, can I purchase the Trax Rail system separately?

We still offer TacomaWorld member exclusive discounts! Feel free to PM me with any questions you have between models and I am happy to share some pricing with you as well.

Yes, you can! If you wouldn't mind, PM me your year and bed length and I can look into that for you. I know they will offer it, but I'm not sure if rails only are available just yet or if they'll be rolling out in the next few weeks, but I can find out for you.

    Quick question
will the retrax Pro XR with top T slots work with any of the KB Voodoo rack systems? instead of using a bracket could it be mounted on the T Slot directly so no need to utilize the side bed rails. I would think that would be an easy mount?
I am considering switching my backflip F1 to the Retrax Pro XR setup since they now have Tslots for potential racks and the cover can open and close seamlessly.

Our racks do not utilize the Retrax track system.
