I know the value of the RTT and Annex. Just want an opinion on the trailer itself. Less the used value of the tent/annex, is the trailer worth it?

Not too knowledgeable with trailers and suitable “off road” suspensions. I plan on doing some light off roading with it and would like to travel into badlands/black hills, SD or into Montana. Or near the mountains in Alberta. Camp off the beaten path is the goal. But also as a hook up and go option for car camping.

    $3500CAD is about $2700USD

I was planning on a setup like this at some point. Budget minded. And this happened to pop up locally. Will likely reskin the trailer box in steel or aluminum if the plywood starts to go. And probably the drawer setup as well. But figure I can use it as is for now.

That's a pretty low clearance axle. I'd put a straight axle on your list.

If you're going to go off road with it, I'd line the bottom with steel or aluminum, too. Plywood made for a terrible skid plate...

There are better hitches for off-road too; ones that have more articulation and are more secure than the conventional ball hitch.

But considering a Patriot runs like $40k, <$3,000 US is a steal!
