    From stock to the 285’s. I should add that I drive in s mode and don’t let the truck have 6th gear so my mpg’s were already off from stock. I hate the way the truck hunts for the right gear in drive.

    Ive been looking at lifts. Mainly the toytec lift that comes with blocks for the rear for about 850. My question is why do so many people go for a kit with leafs instead of blocks. Keep in mind personally i wont be doing extreme offroading, just hit ssome trails every now and then.

    I do that most of the time and I’m on 265/75/16. Saw 1-2 mpg drop just bumping up to this size.

    If you plan to add a shell or regularly haul heavy items it keeps the rear end from sagging. I went that route cause I haul my dirt bike on a hitch mount.

    Alright have a question for you guys. Iv been pulling my hair out. I want to run 285 75 16s on my Ac OR stock rims. i know i need wheel spacers. I was thinking doing 5100 all round with 887 coils what do you guys think? holding off on UCAs for now.

    Small lift, CMC, FN Pro Wheels, 285/70r17 BFGs
    Finished my lift and installed my wheels and tires this weekend. 285/70/17 KOs on Fx Pro wheels, Bilstein 5100s set at third notch, 1” body lift and CMC. No rubbing as I checked by cycling the front suspension without the shock installed. Total lift is 2.5” front and 1” rear. Truck is level to maybe .5 low in the rear. I came from a Rock Crawling Offroad background so a truck with a rack seems odd to me.

    You’ll need UCAs to get a decent alignment with any lift over 2”. Spacers will actually exacerbate any rubbing issues because of the articulation. Trimming will be needed

    Small lift, CMC, FN Pro Wheels, 285/70r17 BFGs
    Alignment becomes an issue if you lift the front suspension much over 2”. New UCA allow you to get the correct alignment and can even help you stay away from the cab mount. Stock rims with 285’s may run the UCA without spacers as you already know. You can consider running 255/85/16. They are skinny but fit better in stock rims.

    Sounds great! Add the $100-$120 cab mount chop from a good shop before you do all that. It’s a small addition to save a big headache later

    Rubs at full lock on cab mount bad. I’ve cut up enough plastic it doesn’t rub when off-roading unless, I turn full lock. Lol
