So by forest land, I'm going to be limited by stock OR suspension right? Still trying to wrap my head around these things but I am focused on getting a fox level 3 with leaf springs upgrade

Went from 3rd Gen Taco to 3GT4R to 2nd Gen Taco and finally a V8 4GT4R.
Everything I've done up in forest land area hasn't been anything the stock OR hasn't been able to handle. To be honest majority of the roads only warranted 2wd because it's so dry. It really just boils down to driver, spotter (if needed), and the lines you take.

It's pretty decent as far as descriptions and such, but I felt the number of routes listed was kind of lacking. I will have to check out that other one referenced above.

I can definitely agree with the descriptions being on point but since the time of writing or publishing those trails might be in poorer conditions :(

I just wished it had more trails in the book too

Another deer camp I use, one of two under 10 miles from home, another maybe under 20 miles away which is a fav as it has a small creek by it next to the Bucks Lake Wilderness . I just like to get out, not dependent on scenery, giving me a chance to use some of my over 100 camping/backpacking stoves. Repo pup keeping a eye on breakfast. Truck is next to a very large Red Fir, hard to tell in the photo. Be careful with fire, this trip went without since things were getting dry a few weeks ago already up here on the Plumas NF.
Some of us Coleman Collectors are having a campout later in August at the Plumas Eureka SP by the Jamison Mine in Johnsville.

Dispersed camping just below the top of hull mtn?
I think I cruised by your camp with my Cousin on our way up.
That looked like a great spot.

Anyone got any dispersed camping/primitive camping/isolated camping tips for the Big Sur area? Preferably redwoods over beach.

Sucks the mendo complex fire is marching towards pillsbury/hull. I pray for those with homes in that area, and can only hope somehow the weather changes or the fire breaks are successful.

From the top looking down towards pillsbury 3 weeks ago. 20180713_193953.jpg
