Hey Dave welcome from KC. Were kind of neighbors! Were you able to get the rear liners from Weathertech. They told me they didn't have the 09 ones yet. I thought that was wierd since I figured the 08's would fit. I am going to need to call them this week. Hey I like the Range Rovers in the back. I have always been a big fan of Range Rovers but have always been afraid of the service costs. I always liked the Defender...man they are $$$ though.

There was no indication that they didn’t have the rear liners. I would think that the 08’s would fit the 09 Tacomas. There was some discussion over at Expedition Portal about the rear mats not fitting correctly with the front seats in the most rear position. I have the drivers seat pushed all the way back so I hope I don’t run into any problems.

I’ve had an affliction with Land Rovers for the past 17 years and have owned five in varying states of repair and disrepair over the years. I have thinned the herd down to one Discovery and I suppose I will always have a Rover – old or new – lying around somewhere. I am looking forward to Toyota legendary reliability and low cost of ownership.

Sold this ’71 Series IIA to buy the Tacoma.

Hanging on to the Discovery. It’s getting the coveted spot in the garage for some much needed mechanical attention.

Let me know via pm or thread how those weathertechs fit in back. I am 6'6'', so I have my seat all the way back as well.

Where in MO are you? Down by the Ozarks?

I’ll let you know how they fit. They should be in the middle of next week. As for location… yea - Queen City of the Ozarks – Springfield, MO

    On another totally different subject…
I believe I’ve found the MOST slippery surface in the world. Absolute ZERO FRICTION between powder coated steel wheels and the composite material that the bed is made of. Try as I might I could not keep the wheels from sliding around in the bed. A couple of times I just knew that they were going to crack the bed walls when they would catapult into them either taking off from a stop or slowing down for one. A rubber bed mat is next on the wish list.

Yeah the bed mat is a great addition to the truck. You barely need to tie anything down with it...You might also look into getting a few more tie downs in the back. I just like a lot of other members have added 4 more d rings to the bed. Do a search for d rings and there is a how to thread. Well worth it...

After five weeks of ownership and about 2500 miles, I finally had a chance to take some pictures that were NOT in my driveway. So far I’m very pleased with the purchase and this forum has answered the many questions that have come up.

As for the WeatherTech floor mats… There is some fit issues with the rear mat when the front seats are pushed all the way back. It’s not a major issue and I’m very happy with the fit and finish of the WeatherTech so far.

    Thanks,
    dd
