Stain on headliner

I bought a new 2018 DCLB SR5 a couple weeks ago. My fourth Tacoma. I ended up having a bunch of mosquitoes in the truck. I was swatting at them while driving and accidentally smashed one against the headliner. Of course it was full of blood and made a nice stain. I tried cleaning with a soap I had used before. It mostly removed the stain but left a dark appearance as if the fabric is wet. Any recommendations for cleaners or techniques? Thanks.

 

The only way to remove the stain is to use 'Spray 9' use a rag and wipe off stain.

Thanks for the reply. Never heard of spray 9. Not something I would have pictured using on upholstery. Have you used this on a headliner?

 

Peroxide will react with the proteins in blood and will remove a blood stain. Try dabbing the spot over and over to soak it up. Most if not all should be removed.

 

Yes I've used it on my BMWs for headliner stains, it's like magic it cleans without any effort.
