Just thought i would ask as im sure people here have user experience with the quality and ease of use of different brands. I am looking for a rtt that will be long lasting and good quality but also easy on the wallet. It will be for 2 people.
    Thanks.

I've been happy with my Smittybilt Overlander XL tent. I've only had it less than a year but it's held up great. A fairly large tree branch even fell on it (while closed) during my list wheeling trip and there was no damage! The most impressive thing I've found is that when it rains most of the night, in the morning I just close it up and amazingly it's always been totally dry inside when I set it up again in the evening. The cover has also held up great against many many branches rubbing against it.

I found a 20% off coupon for mine which made it only ~$850

People who own Smittybilt tents always cry when I say they aren't great, but I'll say it again.. they kinda suck! If you want RTT lite, get a smittybilt. If you plan on using your tent frequently for several years, spend the money and get a higher quality setup. I've owned a Smitty and I sold it after 1 season due to cheap materials and poor quality. Now I'm running a CVT, and after almost 2 years the zipper is sticky on the cover, but the tent is holding up great with around 50-60 nights spent. Not to say they are any better than ARB, Free spirit, Tepui, or others in that price range, but certainly better than Smitty. Good luck in your search.

I really like my Smittybilt RTT. Only issue I've had so far is that the strap that holds the cover on broke. They sent me new ones, but then realized it's secured on with pop rivets. I made it work though, so still happy overall :)
