Flip volume and track fwd/reverse toggle on steering wheel

Also, it's not a "toyota" thing per se. I used an 18 Camry for a few weeks and the skip buttons were separate and went the correct way, left and right. I'm guessing it's just all design over function.

Isn't direction just a matter of perspective? What is up? What is down? In outer space there is no direction. Which direction does the reduction in sound waves correlate to and how do we know? Do sound waves go up? Which direction do sounds waves go? Sound doesn't travel in space.

close but rotate the left and right arrows. Arrow on the right should point right, left arrow point left

 

One could argue that she should be saying "push left that racket" as turning would relate to a knob...

 

Spotify or any streaming service still uses left and right as a song selector.

 

Glad to know I'm not alone here. My previous daily driver was setup the other way around, volume vertically and skip horizontally, and so the first month in the Tacoma I was skipping songs instead of increasing volume. Now I've gotten used to the Tacoma and mess everything up when I'm in the project car. There's no winning.

 

I cant believe someone cant get used to the orientation in at most 2 days. I think the problem is you all aren't driving your truck enough.

This is one of the things that has and still bugs the hell out of me since the day I got my 18. There is no - getting use to it - for me. I've been turning the volume UP and DOWN and changing tracks LEFT and RIGHT for way longer than it will take me to get use to this fuckery!

It's quite simple... turn your steering wheel left 90 degrees. All the buttons line up exactly how you want them. No mods, no cost, and easy.

They literally match up to the screen commands. the volume bars go across the top left to right and the radio list is vertical.

 

This combo button is oriented the other way in our 15 Subaru Outback. This always messes with me when I drive the wife's car.

 

this bothers me, but now I see that flipping it would make it worse for me.....anyways I usually don't really use that button.
