Youre not exactly fat like me, so the big 1st month burns are mostly for the fatty's and water weight.
I don't do mayo, light on cheese for some reason I'm struggling with cheese. Probably because of my lack of shitting. I swear I feel like Rocky getting to the top of the stairs when I poop finally.

Yah I mean of those 13lbs I for sure see changes, stomach is getting smaller and tighter, clothes fitting better, and so on. I’m probably going to ride he egg diet out for another 8lbs then switch back to normal Keto, just to get over 20lbs which puts me at my halfway point to my goal. Hopefully it’s less then another 10 days of this hah.

Well I should possibly join in on this thread. I’m not terribly overweight but I’m mega outta shape. Working on getting a new bicycle and swimming when I get back to phx. Since I’ve stopped working I’ve put on just over 30lbs and I feel horrible. 1st things first, cutting down the beer intake. A case every 2days is a bit much.

This would be a good thread for me to participate. Been on the weight loss and gym routine. Lost 120lbs in 2 years. Been hitting the gym for almost a year. Usually 3-4 times a week. (Mountainside on Shea east of FLW Blvd.) Here's a before and after. I put on alot of weight sitting in a wheel chair for 3 years after motorcycle accident.

Thank You! It's a lot of work. I've found myself addicted to the gym. If I miss a few days I feel like I'm cheating myself.

I'm probably doing it super wrong, but I was under the impression your body goes into Keto by either eating a high fat diet, and/or extended fasting periods. I read that fasting is the fastest way to go Keto with a long fast interval.

I went from 180-185 to 165-170 by doing a 18+ hour fast at least once or twice a week. I would eat carbs regardless, but kept calories under 2500, especially on the fast days.

Seems like my body weight is much more stable, not as many 5+ lb swings as I used to get before any fasting.

I am a rock climber, so was in the gym 3-4 times a week minimum. Haven't upped my exercise much (actually hurt my back recently and slowed way down), and still seem to maintain a steady weight much easier.

I do feel like my max strength has dipped slightly, but still feel healthy. I don't lift weights right now, was starting to before the back strain.

Edit: Also, I'm 31 and was pretty fit prior to starting, seems like that 10lbs lost was that stubborn fat I always stored from my love of IPAs and french fries.

It’s not just high fat it’s a balance of things, your fat % needs to be high like 75-80% calories from fat your 15-20% protein and 0-5% carbs. You can’t eat to much protein or else your body will almost act like it’s a carb and do the same thing and use it for energy as if it’s a carb. Main goal is minimal to no sugar and under 20-50 carbs depending on your body.

If oh fast it does help kick in Keto faster but your suppose to still follow this basic formula for the food. As far as the 2500 calorie intake everyone is different some will see 2500 as a intake that will maintain weight others need to be at 1500 and under to loose and so on.

I'm definitely under 1k calories a day, but I'm ok. As someone who's lost 140lbs before and managed to almost get it all back, diets need to evolve with you.

The plan is to stay like I am now until I plateaue. Then I'll add carbs in the form of more veggies and start to bring fruit sugars in. Meaning I'll eat 3 square meals a day. At that point I'll flip on the 6 day cardio and workout to kick the burn a different way.

    Okay that makes sense.

I guess I've been actually doing an IF (intermittent fasting) diet than a Keto diet.

Works pretty well for me at this stage, I'm 5'11 and tend to notice Ill lose weight if I stick around 2000-2500 calories.

I have been cutting out alcohol throughout the week, and that has a serious impact to the amount of cals I intake. Even 2-3 IPAs a night is cutting out 600+ cals daily I would be taking.

Also, I have heard about the way a persons body will process the alcohol out of your system, and I guess when processed by your liver or kidneys, its turned into an enzyme, which your body will always burn before any fat. Ive noticed big fat loss after 2-3 days of not drinking at all.

@2ndGenJonny so I gave up on the egg fast today, I made it about 4.5-5 days of doing it, but got to the point where eating eggs got harder and harder to keep down, which is fine I could of pushed threw but the last two days I only lost about 1lb total, at that point I’d rather just keep doing normal Keto and portion control it to a lower calorie intake to make sure I loose. Back to the meat life thankfully lol.

Well I was doing it the super strict way of just eggs and cheese and mayo for egg salad, only cheat thing was the coffee in the a.m.. wasn’t seeing the losses for the struggle when I can just eat Keto like normal and loose the same so might as well enjoy foods.

On another egg note, have you gone to frys and got there package of beef chorizo, it’s only got if I remember right a carb if that, makes eggs and other stuff amazing. Plus loads of fat to help hit they mark.

    I'm fully aware of chorizo!

I'm near the pork shop, nothing beats their chorizo.
