My tomato plants recovered from my attempt to kill them off but the only thing producing worth a damn is the Roma. Pepper plants are also not setting on and it's getting too hot now so I might be screwed. Squash is slow but I'm getting a few and cukes out the Ying yang. Lots of bees in the cukes so that's not the problem with the tomatoes and peppers.

didnt bother me as much when I was younger. Now in my mid 40's and on blood pressure meds I have to watch my exposure in sun and drink LOTS of water. My skin still takes it ok, body seems like I overheat more than I used to.

Probably time to add some more MG. I hope it's not a problem with being too close to the fence. The plants are doing good and the Roma is setting on tomatoes so IDK.

Careful just adding fertilizer willy nilly. Over doing things can be just as bad as not having enough. You can get an inexpensive tester kit that will tell you levels of Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium in your soil. I tested mine and found that my Phosphorus and Potassium levels are already high, almost too high, but my Nitrogen levels were rock bottom. If I added an all around fertilizer, it would put my Phosphorus and Potassium too high. I use blood meal, it's only got Nitrogen. The kit I used it just like this one https://www.amazon.com/Luster-Leaf-...pID=51TxVZAeHeL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch

That might be the issue. This is a new raised bed. Think I should take your suggestion and test the soil.

Also I wouldn’t worry about it being too hot (temp not N levels lol) for peppers. They love the heat as long as there’s plenty of water

Yeah, last year I had dozens of really nice bells and it seemed cooler than usual. I think I also need to pay closer attention to the varieties of veggies I plant and how the thrive (or not).

That can make a big difference. I have varieties that grow great for me, and a friend five miles away can't get them to grow worth a darn. And vise verse. I grow all (except corn) non-hybrids of everything, and save seeds from them. I went through half a dozen varieties of some things before I found one that likes to grow for me.

Through @melikeymy beer suggestion,l didn't realize there was a gardening thread! This is awesome! Wife and l live in the tri-cities area in NE Tenn.We have been doing gardens for a quite awhile but through our son he has taught us some different cleaner ways to grow vegetables.l have had health issues for the last 5-6 years and had to go to a plant based diet. The garden was the perfect solution. We only grow organically now. What has surprised me was the larger yields from using better soils combined together.
This winter we are going to expand and adding more raised beds. Also plan on doing some winter gardening (that should be interesting ).
We have had success with a number of different plants (as others l see after reading thru the thread) but failure with certain things.l love watermelon and especially sugar babies. We actually got some heirloom seeds a few years ago but just have never had any success with them.Help!

Nice Garden. How old is that grapevine that's in the second pic?

Our beans are still producing massive amounts and we can't even hope to keep up just by eating them, so I spent last night down in the 'canning kitchen' making dilly beans.

These two bags represent roughly 2 days worth of picking from about 20 plants that I have scattered around in the squash beds.

...and they yielded most of the dilly beans that I'll use in a year

If anybody's interested, they're the 'Provider' variety from Johnny's Seeds (I buy from them because they're only a couple of towns over from me; I figure if they can grow them, theoretically I should be able to as well)

You should be able to do quite a bit of winter gardening down in warm Tennessee. I do some in here in Northern Wyoming. A book that really helped me is "Four-Season Harvest" https://www.amazon.com/Four-Season-...preST=_SX218_BO1,204,203,200_QL40_&dpSrc=srch

Around 7-8 years old.We plan on moving it cause it never seems to do much where it's been planted. The June bugs really like it too.We have tried several different natural traps with no luck.Any suggestions?
