What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Im assuming the difference is you have to attach the letters yourself on the chinese grill. Havent seen a genuine one without the letters already in place.

 

Do you have a lift? and what size tires are you running?

 

No I only did the front.

 

What are the dimensions of the opening for the letters? I'd like to put lights there.

 

Bought mine last Fall. Letters already attached and ready to go. It's held up great so far.

 

Looking sharp! Thinking of doing the same on mine lift wise till funds allow coilovers and leafs. How many miles have you run it this way so far? Any bearing issues? The bearing is the only thing holding me back at the moment. Not looking to do the ECGS bushing yet.

 

I feel for you Bud. Lost my 2011 when a kid shot thru an intersection t-boned me and totalled it. 60k and prior to that not a pinstripe or door ding anywhere so I know how you must feel. On the upside everyone walked away unharmed and in the end that's all that really matters. Good luck to you.

No lift, I'm planning on lifting it when the weather cools down though. My tires are 265/75r16

Nope, no rubbing. I did remove the front OEM mud flaps because the tires would rub on them just barely when at full turn and going over a slight bump (like when I back out of my driveway and drop off the curb) but now they dont rub at all. I think that size is generally understood to be the largest tire size you can fit on stock suspension without rubbing, and the same is true for 265/70r17 for those who have 17's
