Just looking for a little help to get a bit of a comparison. Bought my truck used which has 885 springs with 5100s and Camburg UCAs up front. It does have a one-off bumper with a winch. To me right now the ride up front seems ok, maybe slightly spongy.

Looking at going with BP51s since I have a dual swingout and Drifter planned. Can anyone chime in as to how those will compare ride wise. Guess I'm just trying to make sure it doesn't get to stiff so it's easier on the wife when we got those washboard roads. Thanks

So going to be installing 881/nitros + dakars w/OME greasable shackles.

    Question on grease -
Wheelers shipped their poly bushings for the shackle side - grease recommendations?

    thanks in advance...

I recently installed Bilstein 5100s all around w/ OME 888 coils, Dakar aal, and Icon UCAs. Bilsteins are set at 0 and my rear is sitting 1 1/2 inches higher any remedies? 3rd Generation 5100s

If you have the full leaf pack in just remove one of the overloads.

I think it was the 3rd from the top. There are 2 overloads. They will be together on the bottom of the leaf pack. I think I removed the shorter of the 2 but I can’t remember now. Either way that’s a half inch. The other solution is to leave them in and remove your add a leaf which is supposed to be 1.5” of lift.
Also your ride will be a little nicer if it rakes foreward a little bit.

I don't have an aal, right now I have stock suspension and a pile of new stuff waiting to go in. I'm pretty sure I'll be pretty happy with the new stuff on Friday

I have this stuff on order for my 2018 ACLB 4x4 SR5:

2 OLD MAN EMU FRONT COIL SPRINGS ARB2887
2 OLD MAN EMU ARB90021 STRUT
2 OLD MAN EMU EL095R LEAF SPRING
2 OLD MAN EMU ARB60091 REAR SHOCK
4 OLD MAN EMU OMEU53B REAR U BOLTS
1 OLD MAN EMU OMESB108 SPRING BUSHING KIT
1 OLD MAN EMU OME95PF5 TRIM SPACER
1 OLD MAN EMU FK29 DRIVELINE SPACER
    1 TRAIL-GEAR 300705-1 KIT DIFFERENTIAL DROP

Dave's OffRoad in Sonora California is going to do the install. $360 labor and $75 for alignment. I think that is reasonable considering I don't have a lift and I really don't want to deal with jackstands & jacks. Install is scheduled for Aug 6th. I hope for 2-2.5" in front and rear.

Wow - excellent quote on install cost! I had quotes in the area of 600 bones which included alignment and my kit consisted of coilovers, dakars and shackles! I would've gladly have paid 435 to have it installed. Oh well. Put up some pics when its done. Cheers!

Skip the differential drop and spend the money on a new ecgs bushing to replace the needle bearing.

Question regarding lifts and alignment... after the OME kit is installed it will sit higher than it will after it settles, I understand that.

But if the shop does the alignment immediately upon installation (same day) will it need to be re-aligned after it settles?

Regardless of the answer, I wouldn't wait for it to 'settle' - get the alignment as soon as the lift is installed.

(it is a good q though )

Need help. Cant decide between these two. Any opinions? Also, does both require extended brake lines?
