    Stock and staying that way
I bet the resale on my stock Tacoma Limited will blow away the supercharged Colorado, all day every day.

OP I don’t get your message. It’s a Canyon/Colorado. Inferior product getting a supercharger is a waste of our time. I clicked thinking there was valid info. This is just silly.

F the Colorado, and the FWIW the Canyon can run off a cliff as well. Even if the 3rd gen Taco takes forever or never even does develop a SC, I would rather drive a Hyundai car than a Colorado or a Canyon. Good info though if you give two craps about a junky GM excuse for a truck.

We have Tacomas = good and reliable badass trucks.

GM = Garbage Masters (except the Corvette, that’s a good car at least)

    :)

sure a super charger is cool for the 1% of people who buy a truck to do speedy speed racer stuff, at the end of the day 99% of people want to spend their hard earned money on something reliable and useful. Seems like a sc would accelerate the time it takes for problems to start happening with a vehicle. I have no knowledge of GM products. I’ve only had my Tacoma, which so far over 100,000 miles and plenty of off-road thrashing, has had only a power steering pump, rear pinion seal, and battery go out.

Ya I needed to do bigger injectors and a boost-a-pump on my mustang and I only run 7 pounds on a small supercharger. Not saying I'd do it (I wouldn't) but a supercharged 3rd gen would probably be pretty good with much more torque down low.

I agree with you, in that FI generally means degraded reliability, and frankly, I don't want or need it in the Tacoma--the stock engine has plenty of power for me.

But I had a 4Runner with a SC. It was pretty fun. That SC whine was almost addicting. And, for 150k miles, it was essentially trouble-free. No issues at all.

There are other good GM vehicles; their full size trucks/SUVs are just as reliable as Toyotas (blasphemy around here, I know). In fact, GM has just as many vehicles in the top 10 of this study as Toyota does:

The Top 10 Cars Likely To Last 200,000 Miles Or More

This isn't really a surprise to me; I have a Suburban with 258k on the original drivetrain. Still going strong.
