My family has owned Toyota vehicles my entire life. Grandma had the Cressida, Dad had a Corolla and a Cressida wagon for a bit. Mom and wife both drive Siennas. I’ve owned the 4RUNNER and came to realize how much I love Toyota too.

In 1985, I was introduced to the Toyota 4x4 both by Marty McFly and my big brother. Sorry bro, Marty’s was a nicer version but nonetheless, I have amazing memories of riding in your truck. This planted a seed within me that’s grown like a weed for decades.

Since then, I have owned several other trucks too. Two Dodge Rams, an Avalanche, a Z71 Tahoe and of course the 4R.

After 33 years of appreciating the Toyota truck line, I pulled the trigger and purchased my version of a dream truck, the 2018 Tacoma TRD Off-Road 4x4. This is hands down the most advanced vehicle I’ve ever owned and I love it! I can’t wait to take it on adventures!

I find it amazingly ironic that I now work for the organization that produced the iconic Back To The Future franchise, NBC Universal, which has afforded me the opportunity to not only grow my career, but give me the chance to own my dream truck.

I haven’t had the pleasure of owning a brand new car in almost 20 years. This feels surreal and awesome. Special love to my amazing wife for supporting the decision to spoil me.
