KC Gravity G4’s are on the truck, no pics of them on, just got the kid to bed then installed them. Took all of 10 minutes because I had to reverse the wiring adapter for one of them.

Any recommendations for brighter bulbs for a 2012 Yamaha Grizzly?

I'm not certain on the light build quality for heat but you could easily use a light weight and inexpensive H4 headlight harness and run H4 55w bulbs to replace the HS1 35w bulbs. You'd have significant increase in output and exact same beam patterns for relatively low cost. On high beam you are looking at about a 4.2A (50w) increase over stock, which doesn't seem like it should be much tax but I am unfamiliar with the charging system on those vehicles.

Alternatively if beam pattern doesn't really matter for night trail riding, and you won't be facing oncoming riders you could consider LEDs that would be brighter while not increasing the electrical load. There will be lots of glare, but depending on how you're using it, maybe it doesn't matter. Of course if you are riding with a partner I'd hate to be the guy in front of you.

I see you tested the TRD Pro fogs...any chance you can run the "regular" fog lights as well?

I don’t have ‘regular’ lights on my truck. :)

Somewhat challenging. I’d have to remove the lights from my truck to perfectly replicate the setup and get some stock bulbs to replace what I am running. The pattern is also a little different so it isn’t a perfect comparison. But I can look to possibly add this at a later date.

To tag a member so they see your comment you need to put an @ symbol in fromof their name, like @White lightning boosted.

They are the CaliRaised pod mounts, there are links to them in the original post.

You don't strike me as a "regular" light guy. Ha ha
I am just curious how much of an improvement the KC fogs would be over my stock offroad fogs. I assume substantial...but I really don't know.

I just swapped from Morimoto XB to KC G4 and the output of the G4 is impressive. The distance, width, and even spread make this one purchase I'm glad I carried out. Very much worth it. There's enough foreground light without the feeling of your eyes compensating.
My truck is a bit higher than most, as it's 6" BDS cranked up about another .75" and on 35" tires. I'm very happy with the KC's.

Did you see an improvement from stock to the Morimoto XB?

The KCs are a substantial upgrade over the Morimotos. I know others that have made the switch with similar impressions.

Was the adjustment screw on your G4's really tight to turn? Mine were.

Yes, the color being the most noticeable however. I have VLED Micros in my headlights, so I appreciated the kelvin match. The throw of the XB was nice, however their ditch lighting capabilities left me wanting. I would consider the XB more of a driving light, than a fog and perimeter light. Just my $0.02 though.

Agreed, wholeheartedly. KC hit a homerun with these lights.

Not at all actually. I can nearly turn the allen bolt by hand, but a small allen wrench does help!

You sir are an f'in god.

One of the best posts I've ever read on TW. Thank you for dropping knowledge.

Now if I can just somehow figure out how to mount the Rigids on my 1st gen.

Anyone have experience reversing polarity on the KC G4s? Mounted up fine to my wife’s SR5 4Runner but they won’t turn on, so it seems like I’ve gotta swap my pos and neg. these should release if I stick a long thin tool down along the posts and pull gently from the wire on the outside right?

    I've been called worse.

There are various bolt on license plate mount options, not as integrated as I'd prefer but gets the job done:
    https://www.summitracing.com/parts/...MI0YGkg-PX3AIVFLvsCh1uoQIUEAQYASABEgJ-vfD_BwE

I no longer have my G4s to check, but I have switched polarity on other LED products. @Taylor@KC HiLiTES would be able to confirm for sure.
